Marriage Counseling

Marriage Counseling

A version of family counseling is couples, or martial counseling. Marriage counseling involves creating a non-judgemental safe space for partners in a relationship to learn new coping skills and tools for effective communication. Couples who do not seek help can enmesh themselves in an irreversible cycle that is dysfunctional if they don’t seek help. Online counseling and in person counseling is an option and both are effective. The Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and PACT (Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy) are methods regularly used that show positive results when practiced appropriately.
