“Authenticity is the daily practice of letting go of who we think we’re supposed to be and embracing who we are.” – Brené Brown

Roxanne Lamb is the therapist and owner of Surviving to Thriving Therapy LLC.

Roxanne is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who relocated to Northern Colorado from Phoenix, Arizona. She earned a Bachelors in Human and Family Development and a Masters in Social Work from Arizona State University.

As a trauma survivor, and someone who lives with a chronic illness, Roxanne learned firsthand how to navigate a rather complex, diverse, and stigmatizing healthcare system. Roxanne understands the importance of empowerment and advocacy in helping others navigate systematic barriers. But most importantly, she understands the critical component of finding the right therapist. In many ways, the system fails to understand that mental health operates on a spectrum, especially when it comes to: trauma, treatment resistant depression, grief, substance use, eating disorders, neurodivergence, and LGBTQ+ community needs. This is why Roxanne specializes in these issues and remains open in learning all she can about them.

Roxanne is a trauma-informed therapist who focuses on fostering an empathetic and safe professional relationship with her clients. Roxanne is a big believer that adversity cannot be overcome unless the following four keystones of recovery and happiness have been established: 1) Build supportive community relationships and find love and belonging, 2) Find meaning, purpose, and value in your life, relationships, goals, and actions, 3) Gain insight into your trauma responses and how they can be preventing you from living an unapologetic and authentic life, and 4) Learn to quiet your inner critic in order to gain confidence in standing your ground and using your inner voice.

Understanding how trauma and mental health falls on a spectrum, Roxanne uses a person-centered and collaborative approach tailored to each client. She provides a warm, humorous, and validating space for her clients and operates through a holistic, psychosocial, and systematic lens.

Roxanne works with couples, adults, teens (15-17), and children (10-12).
